Is the fire out?

 The last update that we got on Monday, October 24th, was that the fire was contained to 63%. 

We are assuming due to the rain that the fire is out.

Cousin's birthday

 Happy Birthday to my youngest great cousin! I can't believe that she is turning six! 

Fire update: October 16-22

We have a week's worth of fire update to share with you all. We will be sharing the next weeks' worth of fire update on Sunday (October 30th)

Sunday (October 16)- We jumped from level one to level three within an hour due to the fire quickly spreading due to the wind

Monday (October 17)- We were still on level three as the fire continued to grow near our home. We did talk to a police officer and they said that the fire was within two miles of our house which cause the level three to stay on the Mountain.

Tuesday (October 18)- We are still on level three as the fire got closer to our house. We are really hoping that the level three will go down to level two within the next day. They managed to get most of the streets reopened expect for three streets.

Wednesday (October 19)- Another street was lifted but mine was not. I really wish that we could go home

Thursday (October 20)- We were able to go home since they lifted all the evacuations near the fire with knowing that the fire was close by. The fire is now contained to 23%

Friday (October 21)- The fire is now contained to 30% and we finally got the rain that we needed.

Saturday (October 22)- The fire is now contained to 43% and we are still getting rain.

This morning, I woke up around 6:30am and managed to fall back to sleep for about an hour before getting up for the day. We were planning to stop at Lucky Eagle before going home but that did not happen.

Around 10:45 am, we received notice that we were on level two and that we needed to get ready to leave our home at a moment notice. 

By 11:15 am, we again received noticed that we are now on level three and needed to go as we were driving home.

We made it back to Vancouver and you could just see the smoke from the fire the minute that we made it to Padden Parkway.

We made it home by 2pm and quicky started to gather things up so we could be out of the house. My dad check us into a crappy hotel.

I ended up texting my boss to see if I could have Monday off since I knew that I would not handle being that close to home and could see the fire. 

One month until Thanksgiving

Grandma's birthday

 My grandma's birthday was on October 20, 2022. Happy belated birthday to her.

Where I have been?

 As many of you know the Naikia Creek fire was started on October 9, 2022 and jumped the line on October 16, 2022. 

I was up at my aunt's house during the weekend of the 14 to 16th so I was not able to catch up on blog posts.

Frankly I am not interested in catching up this blog. I am okay for missing ten days of the postings.

  We got noticed that they placed us on Level one. We could spend days or even weeks on level one

I just came back from Halloweentown and was relaxing upstairs to get a few last minute things done before heading to bed.

I looked outside and thought that it was the sunset but it turned out that Larch Mountain was on fire.

This morning, I got up and dye my hair and then washed my car windows. I also had to take out the trash and receyle can.

This morning I woke up and got ready for the day. We went to the store and Dutch Bros. We headed home and did laundry, wrote blogs, and got sleep safe done.

Return of Weekend Vlogs

 We have decided to bring back our weekend vlogs posts because we just needed some posts for the month of October.

We did start with September 24 to 25th and will end on October 30th.

Movie Review: Hocus Pocus 2

 I must say that I was excited to see how they were going to do this sequel. It had been over 25 years since they did the first movie and truth be told, I am kinda glad that they waited to do the sequel.

It gave them time to write a good movie and I can't wait to see if they make another.

Halloweentown Returns

 I am so excited that this is coming back and that means that you will be able to see some pictures on an upcoming post.

We were supposed to go on October 1st but things got in the way. On October 2nd, I was not feeling the best so I stayed home. We will see about next weekend

Movie Review: The Gabby Petitio Story

 About a month ago, Lifetime announced that they were going to premiere this movie because two people went on a trip and only one of them return.

The movie was good but sad. Gabby was such an angel and did not need what happen to her.

The movie was an eye opening about sex trafficking that is happening in the USA.

Hello October

 This month, we have two birthdays and we have Halloween.

We are keeping with our past experiences with Halloweentown and Franklin Street.
