Turning 33

 It's time to write my first blog post as Life as a 33 year old and I wanted to share my thoughts about turning 33 years old.

I have always known that life is way to short and today's post will honor it. Everyone thinks that it's just another number as you turn older but you need to look at as life should be celebrated. 

Think about it as being able to celebrate another season of life.

 We went through 13 hours without power. It went out yesterday at 3:30pm and did not come back on until 4am

 If you might have noticed that I titled this posted Hello Winter officially and that is because we have already gotten hit with snow in late November.

Goodbye Fall

 It's time to say goodbye to fall. I am so excited to see what Winter brings us.

Weekend Plans for December 23 to January 2nd

 We are about to be on our winter break and that means that it's time to figure out what I am going to do from the 23rd to January 2nd.

Here is what I must do:

• Finish star classes- I think that I have about six hours left to do. I also have to finish it by December 31st which I know that I can do it.

But other than that I have no plans.

 We are just 15 days away from the end of 2022 year and I am so excited for it. This year has been rough to say the least.

Everything from my car accident to the snow. We also had the fire and I would trade the fire for the snow any day.

 So on Monday I was trying to get down to go work despite of the ICE and snow. I made it about half way when my tire light came on and sure enough soon after I heard a noise that I knew was not a good noise to hear.

It was clear as day that I had a flat tire.

I had a little trouble driving up my hill to get to our drive way. I figured that it would not be safe for me to drive down in the morning.

Today we got up and went Black Friday shopping before trying to head for Shari's and of course they were open. We finally decided to go to Denny's and then went to Home Depot to get a new kitchen items.

We finally went to Dutch Bros and then headed home where my dad decided that he wanted me to watch this new movie that was boring as all get out. I finally went upstairs to watch something different.

This morning, we got up and went to the store and then to Dutch Bros. We made it back before I had to take something back to my sister.

I got home and we started to make the side dishes and put the turkey in. Of course it only took three hours for the turkey to cook. I think next year, we are going to wait until 4 hours before we go to eat.

We started to watch Christmas movies before having family over and then it was time for bed.

This morning, I had to work and hoped that they would let me off early so I could get back home and set up for tonight. I also went to Dutch bros.

I got home around 3:05pm and just relaxed for a little bit before doing a few things that needed to get done.

My family showed up around an hour later and then it was time for some family time before we relaxed for tomorrow's activities. 

Weekend plans: November 23 to 27

 Thanksgiving weekend has been very busy and now it's time to recap.

Wednesday: We had some family over for Thanksgiving dinner with Ham.

Thursday: Today we just had my grandma over for Thanksgiving.

Friday: We went Black Friday shopping before coming home to relax. I worked on the upstairs Christmas tree.

Saturday: Today we went to Big Al's to watch the civil war. I worked on the upstairs Christmas tree and then also worked on work classes.

Sunday: I worked on the posts for this week's blogs. I also worked on work classes before getting ready for work. We also brought in some of the Christmas items.

This morning, We got up and got ready to leave. We headed to get dutch and of course they were busy as all get out. We headed to the school that I went to and they were busy so we decided that we would come back. We went to another Dutch and they were busy as well so we headed over to Portland.

We finally got Dutch bros in Portland before heading past my mom's work and went to our first Christmas Bazzar of the season. We managed to find two things there and then headed to get food before going to our second bazzar.

We found one thing that I could not go without and then headed home.

 I finally decided if I want to do Vlogmas on youtube. It takes a lot of time and that means that I have a lot of filming to do with in the next couple of weeks.

We relaxed until 9:30am and then headed down to town. We had to go to Costco to get gas and other things which we got. We also got breakfast and then Dutch. We later went to Safeway and then Dollar Tree.

This morning, I woke up around 7am and got ready for the day. I started my laundry and then watched the TV shows that I needed to catch up on. My mom had a Halloween party that we had been talking about going to go. We were also going to go to Franklin Street. Neither of those happen so we just stayed home.

 So there are two parts to this question because not only did I have a Halloween party at my work but my mom did as well.

Is the fire out?

 The last update that we got on Monday, October 24th, was that the fire was contained to 63%. 

We are assuming due to the rain that the fire is out.

Cousin's birthday

 Happy Birthday to my youngest great cousin! I can't believe that she is turning six! 

Fire update: October 16-22

We have a week's worth of fire update to share with you all. We will be sharing the next weeks' worth of fire update on Sunday (October 30th)

Sunday (October 16)- We jumped from level one to level three within an hour due to the fire quickly spreading due to the wind

Monday (October 17)- We were still on level three as the fire continued to grow near our home. We did talk to a police officer and they said that the fire was within two miles of our house which cause the level three to stay on the Mountain.

Tuesday (October 18)- We are still on level three as the fire got closer to our house. We are really hoping that the level three will go down to level two within the next day. They managed to get most of the streets reopened expect for three streets.

Wednesday (October 19)- Another street was lifted but mine was not. I really wish that we could go home

Thursday (October 20)- We were able to go home since they lifted all the evacuations near the fire with knowing that the fire was close by. The fire is now contained to 23%

Friday (October 21)- The fire is now contained to 30% and we finally got the rain that we needed.

Saturday (October 22)- The fire is now contained to 43% and we are still getting rain.

This morning, I woke up around 6:30am and managed to fall back to sleep for about an hour before getting up for the day. We were planning to stop at Lucky Eagle before going home but that did not happen.

Around 10:45 am, we received notice that we were on level two and that we needed to get ready to leave our home at a moment notice. 

By 11:15 am, we again received noticed that we are now on level three and needed to go as we were driving home.

We made it back to Vancouver and you could just see the smoke from the fire the minute that we made it to Padden Parkway.

We made it home by 2pm and quicky started to gather things up so we could be out of the house. My dad check us into a crappy hotel.

I ended up texting my boss to see if I could have Monday off since I knew that I would not handle being that close to home and could see the fire.

Grandma's birthday

 As many of you know the Naikia Creek fire was started on October 9, 2022 and jumped the line on October 16, 2022. 

I was up at my aunt's house during the weekend of the 14 to 16th so I was not able to catch up on blog posts.

Frankly I am not interested in catching up this blog. I am okay for missing ten days of the postings.

Movie Review: Hocus Pocus 2

 I must say that I was excited to see how they were going to do this sequel. It had been over 25 years since they did the first movie and truth be told, I am kinda glad that they waited to do the sequel.

It gave them time to write a good movie and I can't wait to see if they make another.

It's time to recap Tuesday's work day. I try my hardest not to recap what happens on Work days because they are pretty much limited talk but I will do my best.

I got up and got ready for work. I knew that today was going to be a long day since my co-teacher is out and that means that I am going to be very busy. They managed to get me off before 3:40pm and then I just had to waste about 2 hours and 20 minutes since we had a staff meeting so I went to dutch and got food.

Umatila trip problems

Happy Birthday to my Mom!  

This morning, I woke up at 6am and then got ready for church. I knew that I needed to call the hotel again to make sure that the room was canceled which it was. I got dutch and then relaxed before going into church.

After church, I headed up to Mill Plain and went to the car wash and then went to T-mobile. I also had to go to the vape shop to refil on one of the favors that I really like.

I headed home and just relaxed for the rest of the night.

This morning, we got up really early to take my parents to the airport. My dad treated us to breakfast before heading to the airport. It was supper emtional that they were leaving for the next eight days.

After leaving from the airport, I went to Target and then to Dutch bros. I also went to Walmart before heading home.

I got a phone call saying that our trip was back on for Sunday which later it was canceled again which caused me to be on the phone twice more.

I went to bed around midnight.

This morning, I ended up waking up at four in the morning and then falling back to sleep until 7am.

We got ready and headed to the store and then went to Dutch Bros. We also headed to get gas before coming straight home.

We went out to dinner for my mom's birthday which is on Sunday but because they were going to be out of town, we had to do it early.

We came back home and just relaxed for the rest of the night. We also did a load of clothes in the washer and dyer.

This morning, I got up and let the dog outside. I got ready for work and made my lunch. 

I ended up leaving at 6:05am for work and got to work around 6:38am which I need to switch the time so bad so I am not that early but haven't done that yet.

I ended up working from 7:30 to 4:25pm which is fine since I knew that we had the back to school prep night at 6pm.

I went to Fred Meyer's where my boss texted me saying that we did not need to come back tonight which is good.

I went back to work so I could get the things that I left there thinking that I would be back and then headed to Dutch Bros.

I started to head home and then just relaxed for the rest of the night.

Day in the life: August 17, 2022

This morning I woke up with no voice but I was determind to still go to work. I filled up my portable coffee mug with hot cider and went to work but not before stopping at Dutch Bros and to get gas. My voice was still gone by the time that I went to work so I asked if I could go home and they let me around 10:15am.

I ended up catching up on big brother and watching this week's Raw before getting a text message saying that my car was done so we quickly headed down to go pick it up. I also did some laundry.

We got back home and just relaxed for the rest of the night.

Car repairs review part 3

 It's time to give an overall review with the car repairs shop. I have decided to break it down into parts and share my honest review on it.

Communication: I was not expecting to have that much because of what happen last time. They did make me mad when I had to reach out to them more than once.

Repairs work: it looks to be done nicely. I must say that my car was not returned wash like it was last time so I will be taking it to get wash

Finished on time: I gave them until August 19th since my parents are leaving on September 3rd and I would rather be driving my car during that time instead of my mom's.

What I would do different next time find another shop.

Car repairs review part 2

 Part 2 is finally up! 

I finished writing the car accident, estimite appiontment and drop off review and now we are back with the second part of this review.

Now before I go into the day to day review, I am just going to say that I really did not have high expections because last time they let me down badly so lets see if they make it up to me this time.

August 3- After dropping off the car, I was fully expecting a message telling me the introduction that they gave me last time but there was nothing.

August 4- I finally got that message and still have no idea if they are full sure going to have my car done by the 19th.

August 5- no communication from them today. They are closed on the weekend so I am not expecting anything from them.

August 8- There was no communication from them today.

August 9- There was a phone call and a text message today.

August 10- There was a text from them saying that the repairs were coming along nicely.

August 11- There was no communication from them today.

August 12- I got a text from them saying that repairs were done and painting which means that I should be able to get my car back before the 19th which will be nice.

August 15- I had to reach out to find out if my car will be done or not early. They said that it would mostly be done on Wednesday.

August 16- I am still not sure but I got a phone call.

August 17- I got word that my car is finish and that means that it's time to go get it.

Car repairs review part 1

 I firmly believe in full honest reviews with places that I have gone and have expections for. Here is part 1:

June 16- After hitting a deer this morning, I took my car to get an appiotment set up for estimate. I was told that they wouldn't be able to take a look at it until July 12th and would be able to send it in late July.

July 12- After going nearly a month since my accident, I finally was able to get it in for an estimate. First thing first, I have to admit being seen early is a good thing. Did the walk around to intake the damage from the deer hitting my car. What makes me mad was the fact that they were trying to say that both my light could be borken or my radiator was damanged but the fact remains that my car would have yelled at me by now. My car litterally yells at me for anything and my senor for the light would have gone off. Told me that it could take two to two and half weeks without my car. It's unacceptable for you to sit there and act like I don't know where I hit the deer. You were not there. See where I live, We have a ton of hills and a few straight paths that I know that I was on the straight path. They also told me that I coul

August 3- I pretty much told them that my car has to be finished by August 19th so we will see if it gets done on that day.

August 17- My car returned to me

Car is back

 My car is finally back and that means that it's time to share the reviews. Part 1, I have been working on since June 18, 2022 to August 18, 2022. Part 2, I have been working on since August 3, 2022 to August 18, 2022. Part 3 was just written on August 19, 2022

Car update: August 16, 2022

 At this point I am not sure if I am going to get the car back on August 17 or 19th.

New car cleaning list

 We have a new cleaning list for the car before we actually take it to work for the first time following the reapirs.

Important must do:

* Wipe down every surfurce with wipes

* Clean windows

* Clean the entire car with a car wash

Small items:

* Put car seat covers back on the entire car

* Put car steering wheel cover on the wheel

* Put on the deer singals

* Set up dash cam

* Put back in car storage containers back into the trunk of the car

* Orazgine items back to where they go

I am sure that the list will be done by the end of the weekend. I am just super happy to have my car back.

Coming down with a cold?

 I started not to feel the best over last weekend (August 6) and very fast came down with another cold.

I ended up not feeling the best on Thursday, so I ended up going home early. I also did not go on Friday.

I have the weirdest car repair update for you, and I was debating about putting this into the repairs review part 2 but decided to make it the own separate post and now into the update.

So I ended up getting a text from the repairs shop saying that my car would not be ready until August 31st.

Then I got a phone call saying that they are going to try to get the car finished before the 19th as long as a part comes into the shop in time.

This morning, I got up and went to work. I ended up working until close to 4:30pm and then headed to meet my parents at the bank since I got a message from my mom asking if I wanted to go to the casino or get dinner with my dad since his birthday is on Thursday.

I ended up going to the Casino and winning over 500 dollars which is nice since I should be getting my car at the end of the next week.

This morning we went to bed around 1am and did not end up falling asleep until 230am. I got up and ready for the day. We relaxed for a little bit before heading home where it took us about four hours to get home. We had laundry to do and then it was time to write in this week's plans.

This morning, we woke up and got ready for the day. We had a three hour drive ahead for us and we knew that we had to start going. We went to get dutch, food, and then gas. We got on the road and made good timing to my aunt's house. We relaxed for the rest of the day before going to the casino.

We did not leave the casino until close to midnight.

Trip up north

 We ended up going to my aunt's house the first weekend of August.

Car bag for mom's car

 So right before my car got turned in for repairs, I decided to put a bag together to put in my mom's car of things that I thought that I would need. Now I did use a few things and I only have a few more days left.

I put a few extra masks in the bag. I put trash bags in the bag. I put pills that I thought that I needed in the bag. I put my sunglasses in the bag.

Salem trip cancelled again?

 We were supposed to go down to Salem however it got cancelled yet again due to out of controlled reasons.

No I did not hit a deer again.

Back Update

 As many of you know that I hit a deer almost two months ago and I am still recovering from it. 

My back is doing a little bit better than what it was two months ago. I am mostly off of pain meds so that's good.

 We are supposed to go to the fair tonight, but I am not sure at the time that I am writing this if we are going or not.

List of car cleaning to do

As many of you know that I ended up taking my car in for repairs on August 3, 2022 which meant that I had a big to do list for my car.

On my list: 

• Take everything out of my car
• Clean windows
• Take off old stickers that were ripping
• Take out trash
• Clean floor mats

What I got done:

• I did managed to take everything out of my car and put it in a bucket for now
• I did managed to clean the windows
• I did managed to take off the stickers that were ripping
• I took out all the trash
• I only managed to clean one of the floor mats

Returning to church

 Happy Sunday! 

I have been taking a break from church following my June 16th car accident with the deer. I knew that I was not going to be able to sit that long but at least I am finally getting better and in less pain.

Last weekend, I did not go to church since we were just coming back from my cousin's wedding which reminds me at the time of writing this that I still need to send the photos to my cousin and aunt.

I was debating to return to church on July 3rd because I am finally having some good days without pain. I am still not sure about how the chairs will impact my back, but I was willing giving it a chance.

 Today marks the first day that my car repairs. I am turning in my car around 4:45pm tonight.

This morning I got up and got ready to go to work. I knew that today was going to be a long day since I had work and babysitting.

I ended up getting off of work before 4pm and knew that it was going to be a long wait since I was going to babysitting at 5:30pm

I got dinner and then head back to the babysitting. The parents did not get home until 9:300pm and then it was time for bed.

 This month, we have one birthday. We have the fair. My car is going into the shop and will be gone for most of the month.

August Cash stuffing goals

 It's time for a new monthly goal for cash stuffing. 

August 5- My goal is to stuff about 380

August 20- My goal is to stuff about 600 dollars 

The total amount goal for the month of August is 980 dollars so we will see if that happens.

 There is not much to update about work. It's going good and everyone still loves having me there.

If they were able to get my car fixed in one week then I would have rented a car but since it's going to take nearly three weeks, my parents offered me to use my mom's car until my car is fixed. 

Car repairs Update- August turn in?

 On July 12th, I took my car into get look at before the repairs would be done and there was a number of things that the man said that made me mad.

I was told on June 16th, that my car would be fixed before the end of July well that turned out to be a lie since it would not be fixed until August 3rd. 

The only good thing is that I don't have to replace my fog light cover. My insurance will be fitting that bill.

Today was such a busy day with work and an car estimate appointment. I thought that it was a good thing to recap it.

I woke up around 4am and stayed in bed until 5:45am when I finally got up to get ready to leave at 6:10am.

I got down to Dutch Bros by 6:35am and there was no line. I made it to work by 6:45am. I posted a birthday post on facebook and just waited until 7:20am.

I worked until 3:45pm before heading for my car estimate appointment where I set up a new appointment to find out that I will not have my car for almost three week.

I headed home and just relaxed for the rest of the night.

Postpone Salem Trip

 So a lot of things that happen lately is that I was in a car/deer accident and of course it make me postpone my Salem trip which was okay.

This weekend (July 17th), we were supposed to go again but it got postpone due to COVID and the fact that my car is not fixed still.

This morning, I didn't fall asleep until close to one am and woke up at 9am. I finished restocking my dad's coffee pods and then went upstairs to watch movies.

I decided that I was going to go for a walk which will be over thirty minutes long so I get all of my goals set for today.

I had to reorganize the dvds. I also change my dvd in the player.

Accident damage review

Dang it Deer! 

This morning, I was driving down to work and out of nowhere the deer came out of the tree work and did damage to my car. Called my insurance and they said that even if I would have been able to stop, they might have still hit me.

This morning, I woke up at 5am and laid in bed until 7am. We got ready for the day and headed out to Redmond.

We made it to Redmond by 11am and had about three hours until my cousin's wedding. We hanged out with Grandma before heading back to venure. 

It was a beautiful ceremony and then we head to the after party. We left Redmond at almost 7pm. We got home around 10pm.

I ended up having to watch church online the 19th and 26th of June since I was either out of town or just did not have the engry to drive down there.

This morning, I attempted to go to work but there was no such luck since I have a lot of back pain. I ended up going to the doctor's office where they gave me meds to try to help with the pain. They said that it should last four days but I don't know. 

I spent the rest of the day at home just relaxing.

This morning, I was all ready and left about ten minutes before I was supposed. I ended up wanting to turn right instead of left and that was a mistake on my part. I ended up hitting a deer since I had a car on my tail so I wasn't able to stop in time.

I stopped to check out the damange to my car since I knew that I have to call my insurance and let them know what happen. I did go back up that way and found that the deer is gone.

I made it to dutch and then texted my work letting them know what happened. I hope to come back tomorrow but there is starting to be pain in my back and since last time that I had a nasty headache form shorty after my last car accident.

I knew that if I woke up with back pain the next morning then I would not come to work tomorrow. 

Hello July

 I honestly can't believe that we only have five months left of 2022. 

This month we have three birthdays and Fourth of July. We only have one day off from work. 

This month, I am hoping to get my car fixed since of the deer accident which I know that I am going to end up having to rent another car which is fine.

Goodbye June

 This month, I am so glad it's over because there has been a ton of bad things that happened between the 16th and 17th.

I must admit that there has been some good things like seeing family and my cousin get married.

Birthdays are done and that means that it's almost time for July.

 My goal this month is pretty small since I do need to make sure that I save for the car repairs and rental that I now have to do.

 Our next trip is in October and that means that I need to start saving for that.

I also have to save for getting my car fixed and also the rental cost since I still did not do it before hand.

Hitting a Deer

This morning, I was driving to work when out of nowhere a deer came out of the forest. I knew that I was going to hit it because the car behind me was to close to me.

I did end up hitting the deer and it did damange to my car which was not good. I ended up also having to take the day just to calm down and relax. I also knew that I needed to call my insurance since now I am going to have to get my car fix yet again.

I also had to go to the repair shop to see how long I have to drive my car with the damage and it won't be fixed until late July. 

Looks like I will be driving a rental again.

This morning, I got up and got ready to go to the beach with my parents. There was a lot of traffic on the way down there so it took us a couple of hours.

We finally made it down there and went to the Christmas shop and then headed to get dinner.

We went back to the hotel and just relaxed for about two hours before going to the Casino where I lost all of my money.

We made it back to the hotel around 11pm and just went to bed.

Today marks a special day for my cousin. It's her bridal shower.

This morning, we got up and got ready to go. We went to Dutch Bros and then headed to my cousin's bridal shower.

We also went to Clackmas town Center mall since we had not been there in a while.

 We are less than two weeks away from my cousin's wedding and that means that we need to get the final check list going.

So here is what I need to do:

1. Make a packing list

As many of you know that I love to be organize and having a packing list helps me.

2. Nails and Hair 

So I need to make sure to get my nails done by this upcoming weekend. I also need to do my eyebows and dye my hair.

3. Last minute items

I still need to wash my dress and get shoes for her big day. I have no idea what kind of shoes just yet but that is okay.

This morning, I got up around 4am and got ready by 5:30am since I knew that I needed to be out of the house by 6:10am.

I got to dutch at 6:20am and headed to work. Work was long and fine but I did not get to lunch until 10:20am which is okay.

While on lunch my dad wanted to see if we could go see the new top gun movie either 4 or 5pm and I chose four thinking that they would get me off on time but boy was I wrong. They were trying to get me to stay until 420 but I was like I was here at 645am.

I made it to the mall by 406pm and I am not a fan of being late. We had a good time watching the movie and when it got out, I decided to go to Dutch

 By the 20th of this month, I need to make sure to have 600 dollars in my other account.
